Andrew McEvoy

Andrew McEvoy is a laureate guitarist of Richmond VA. To date he has given more than one thousand live performances over 20+ years. A former child prodigy, McEvoy performed on NPR’s From The Top, soloed with the Richmond Symphony, and was featured in concert at the Smithsonian Museum of American History before graduating from high school. McEvoy's work is guided by the ability of music to grow communities and inspire humanity's best and kindest instincts. His public service includes 11 years teaching in the university system, and the fostering of Classical Revolution RVA from a grassroots movement in 2013 to a 501c3 arts non-profit which continues expanding its musical outreach into the present day.

Two separate reviews in Classical Guitar Magazine lauded McEvoy’s

2017/18 album Parlor Tricks as “a delightful surprise,” “…played with all the verve and skill of the master himself.”

Andrew McEvoy: "Ever since I discovered the beauty of the classical guitar, I wanted to share it with as many people as possible. That's why I enjoy playing for events and weddings in addition to concerts - at concerts one tends to reach people who already love this music. But playing beautifully at events for people during the most important moments in their personal and professional lives has a special meaning for me, especially when guests are hearing classical guitar for the first time."
