Baltimore Classical Guitarist -Troy  Short Q and A

A short conversation with Troy, Classical Guitar Ceremonies Inc. concert classical guitarist from Baltimore Maryland! 

Q- How long have you performed as a classical guitarist? 

A- I started playing guitar at age 6, classical guitar at age 15. I started performing classical guitar while in college.

Q- In addition to performing do you have any teaching roles?

A-I am the Director of the Classical Guitar Program at Towson University. 

Q- Have you recorded any albums?

A- Yes, two solo guitar - "Musique de Salon" (IGW/Eroica label); "Musica del Arte" (Centaur label). "Piano Music for Two Guitars" (Centaur label) as a member of the Arabesque Guitar Duo.

Q- Do you have a favorite repertoire? What about a favorite composer?

A- I love all guitar music! Maybe one of my favorites is music by Spanish composer Francisco Tarrega. 

Q- What styles do you perform at events? 

A- Classical, Pop, Rock, Jazz - anything I can arrange for solo guitar!

Q- Can you adapt other tunes or modern song to classical guitar?

A- Absolutely!

Q- What is something a bride or groom should consider when planning music?

A- Choose music that "speaks" to you.
