Andrew McEvoy

Andrew McEvoy has been an active classical guitar performer for more than a decade, performing solos and chamber music on concert series and special events across the United States. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master’s Degree in Performance and Pedagogy from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University.

From an early age, Andrew has developed a reputation for colorful and engaging performance. At 18, he was a soloist with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra and was featured on National Public Radio’s “From the Top,” having already performed at prestigious venues across the country including the Smithsonian Institution and the Getty Museum in Los Angeles. More recent performances include Salisbury University “Guitar in the Gallery” series, Charlottesville Classical Guitar Society, VCU Guitar Series, and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Mellon Concerts.

An active educator, Andrew teaches guitar and music theory at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA. He also teaches K-12 guitar students at Collegiate School in Richmond, VA.
