Jimmy has performed in concert halls throughout North America and Western Europe as a featured artist at many guitar and music festivals, including: The Siena Sessions for Music in Siena, Italy; Le Domaine Forget Festival in Saint-Irenee, Quebec City; the Tennessee Guitar Festival in Murfreesboro, TN; the National Guitar Summer Workshop in Nashville, TN; the Darton Guitar Workshop in Albany, GA; the South Georgia Performing Arts Ballet in Moultrie,GA; the Viscaya Renaissance Festival in Miami, FL; and the Florida Music Educator's Conference in Tampa, FL.

Jimmy is a very accomplished solo performer, having won awards in guitar competitions on the state, regional, and national levels. These awards include: National
Finalist for the Music Teachers National Association’s (MTNA) Collegiate Guitar Competition; Winner of the Tennessee Music Teacher Association’s Collegiate Guitar
Competition; and First Prize at the Beethoven Club 25th Anniversary Young Artist Competition.

Jimmy possesses a Doctor of Music degree in Classical Guitar Performance from Florida State University, where he served as a teaching assistant to the world-renowned guitarist/pedagogue Bruce Holzman. He has studied in master classes with Pepe Romero, William Kanengiser, Eduardo Fernandez, Oscar Ghiglia, Andrew York, David Leisner, Ernesto Bitetti, and David Tannenbaum.

Jimmy is in great demand as a teacher and has taught master classes in multiple styles including: various classical styles, Van Halen, and Jimi Hendrix. For his
doctoral treatise he presented a lecture and performance based on Justin Holland, America’s Pioneer of the American Guitar. He has founded various guitar programs in the Tampa Bay Area, Nashville, Tallahassee, and Southern Georgia. He is currently the Director of Guitar Studies at the Manatee School for the Arts in Palmetto, FL and manages a thriving private guitar studio. Jimmy's students have achieved a 100% acceptance rate by successfully auditioning for many of the top learning institutions in the country.
